Description
Customer Reviews
The SmokTech Dual Coil 510 Cartomizer and tank system has became a customer favorite for a long time because of the flavor, reliability, ease of the draw and simply the convenience. Combine these things with the cost and they are a great value to boot. These are designed to be used with the 3.5ml & 6ml tank, not the EGO tank. The SMOK Technology DCT system is now offered at Vermillion River.
Warranty Info: The Cartomizers have a DOA guarantee only.
How to get best performance....from my experience.
Ok so I read the previous review and thought I might be able to help. First when you fill this carto use a toothpick and lightly poke the side hole to push the filler back away from the hole. Do this each time you refill. If you can't get juice to the cart properly you have ruined the cart. Secondly blow out the cart from the bottom as hard as you possibly can. I do this while it's inside my tank half way filled or all the way filled it doesn't matter. This seems to help not only with flooding but also clogging. You will notice the juice that comes out is much darker then the juice you are using unless it's brand new. I have honestly got these cartos to last up to three weeks and they actually still work it's just that once the taste changes the cart is dead to me. Blowing out all the nasty black juice will keep your flavor tasting great as well as keep airflow going. This is not easy usually. I honestly have to blow on this thing with all my might 5 to 10 times. I suggest sitting down and using a paper towel to catch the runoff and it also lets you see how dark or dirty the cart is. If you get a bunch of black juice out your doing it right. I vape the dual coil 3.0ohm at 5 volts just in case you wanted to know. Experiment with what I said I get varying results but overall I am very happy with these carts. Do not throw it away if it's flooding. Blow it out, all excess juice will leak out and you will have a once again useable cart most of the time never flooding again. Do not blow from the top only the bottom where the threads are. Keep holes clear of filler this has been one of my main problems after much trial and error, It seems to keep pushing against the hole expanding when wet with juice. I also use a needle to prime using the toothpick to gently move filler to the side. Usually you can find the sweet spot of the carto by putting the hole at 12 oclock and putting the needle at 9 oclock without ripping the filler. If you snag it you probably ruined it so be gentle this is a one time deal. Let juice flow out the hole but not enough to runoff and re poke if you like before tanking it. Blow it out and enjoy!...I have rambled enough, hopefully this helps, good luck fellow vapors!

Nothing Better
Yes I have had some problems getting the Carto primed right in the past. And sometimes I still do. But I use nothing else than these. I started with a Clearomizer then moved up. Cartos are in a different league and best for us former smokers. I use 1.5/2-hole on a VV Mod at 4.3 for all my VR juices. I get about 2/3 days per carto. Thats just $2.25 vs at least $15 for 1-pack-a-day smokers over 3-days. I have found the best priming method is very simple. After filling my 6ml tank, place it in palm of hand and inhale strongly 4/5-times (should take a third of juice in tank) then let it set and soak for 10-minutes before using. It works great for me.

these are the only thing I can use anymore.
I've tried every tank style available, called juice manufacturers and the like. I had issues for months with a bad burnt taste with every type of clearomizer or tank I tried. I believe it was the thickness of my juices that caused this. The wicks never stayed wet enough no matter what I did. When I began using the dct style tank, it took a bit to get used to priming it, clearing the filling away from the hole and keeping it flushed out. But no burnt taste!!. I even posted on ecf to get answers and they recommended the same. If a burning taste is your problem, try 1 hole, 1.5. Do the steps the others said and you should have more luck.

No Problems For Me
We have one good review and one not so good review. Mine will tip the scale to the good side. I have had no problems with these at all. I get outstanding flavor, vapor production, and throat hit. I will use the tip of the reviewer below to blow from the bottom because the liquid does build up and turn dark and then the carto clogs and it's off to change to a new one. I get about 2 weeks on average out of one of these, sometimes 3 weeks. If I am vaping a flavor that is darker and thicker, then sometimes I only get a week, but with the tip from the reviewer below to blow out of the bottom, I may be changing that. I find the trick is priming the carto right the first time, then it's smooth sailing from there. I was taught to prime my carto like this: Put the carto in the tank, but not all the way in. Fill the tank with ejuice, then put the carto all the way in. Put in your drip tip and place the bottom end of the carto on your hand and cup your hand to form a seal. Suck in a few pulls, then release your hand. You should see bubbles come out of the hole of the carto. (If there is air sound when you do suck in, then you don't have a tight enough seal on the bottom of your carto) Depending on how hard you suck in will depend on how many times you do this. Take your drip tip off and check the sponge after each time. Once you see the carto sponge part is wet, let it sit for about 10-20 minutes to saturate the entire area. This should take care of any burning flavor from the carto not being primed enough. Hope this was helpful.

Can't Take It Anymore...
First, I want to say that Dave is awesome! I've been more than satisfied with customer service. Now...onto these cartos...they are terrible. At best, I get 2 good cartos out of a box of 5. The others sometimes flood within a day or two, or burn too easily and leave an awful taste quickly, or don't have an effective enough 'pull,' or the throat hit is weak (if you get one, at all) with minimal vapor. This is extremely frustrating, to say the least. When I DO get one that works properly, it lasts me no more than 48 hours before it is impossible to 'pull' and the battery starts blinking to signal an issue with my carto. I could bust a vein trying to get a satisfying pull out of a 2-day old cartomizer. I simply cannot afford to vape if I am going through a carto every 2 days (my husband, also, can't get through 48 hours without needing to change his carto, so it's not something I'm doing incorrectly). These completely aggravate and frustrate me.
